I made a lovely press trip with a couple of different experiences; check-in at MAGIC CIRCUS HOTEL in Marne-la-Vallée, the new DREAM CASTLE HOTEL nearby.

You should not skip a visit to VALLEE VILLAGE – Chic Outlet Shopping.

The lovely place is easy to reach by a shuttle bus from Dream Castle & Magic Circus Hotel.

It organizes also private shopper events in the lounge.

The whole Disney experience was for me this time without kids.

Disneyland and Paris are special places (it is for sure not the Banksy themeparc :-).

It’s a large 4 star hotel and each and every room has a circus reference.
My check-in was at the Magic Circus hotel, a large 4 star hotel, every room has a circus reference and theme.

It’s still the same business as usual. Kids of any age enjoyed all the big top-style fun.

From the moment you enter the hotel lobby, the circus theme is evident everywhere. Starting from the interior design to the hotel services. Acrobats, clowns, and jugglers amazed the little ones all the time.

The hotel -with 600.000 guest per year – is very conveniently located for the Disneyland Paris theme park, with a free shuttle bus taking around ten minutes to reach the park’s gates and also the Leadbetter golf course for nice for a golf experience.

Golf Disneyland Paris provides an excellent choice of three loops of nine holes that can be combined into 18 holes of a championship standard.

The “Leadbetter” golf course was built over flat terrain but the designer has added mounds and hazards to make an excellent golf course that is a pleasure to play.

The Blue course at Disneyland Paris starts of fairly slowly but the long Par 3 fourth hole is hard to reach with an iron at 215 metres. The Par 5 fifth hole is a monster at 546 meters and most of them up hill. At the Par 3 seventh you are met by a huge bunker that wraps around the whole of the green. The seventh is a wonderful hole and very difficult as the green sits up on top of a big lake, is guarded by rocks and very elevated, anything short will be wet. The best is left to last as the ninth hole is the Signature hole at Disney. A long Par 5 at 481 metres and the Island green is difficult to reach in three.

The Orange course is probably the least popular but still has four water hazards and plays over 3000 metres. The second hole is worth a mention as its one of those strange holes that can be played on different fairways and the two lakes are connected by a small stream. Again the best hole is probably the ninth which has a large lake at the green and again will be difficult to reach in three.

The Club House and facilities are beautiful. The quaintly named ‘Goofys’ pro shop is well stocked. The restaurant serves lovely food. A putting green in the shape of Mickey Mouse is adjacent to the clubhouse and there is also a chipping green and driving range.

Overall Disneyland Paris Golf Club is well worth a visit.

Younger family members will love the bunk beds in many of the hotel’s 396 rooms – the experience means that the magic of Disney doesn’t just stay in the park, but can be enjoyed 24/7 for the duration of your stay. Be warned though – the relatively small room size would mean a bit of a squash for families with older children.

The hotel also makes sure to cater for parents looking for some chill time, or an element of sophistication once the little tykes are in bed.

The Wellness Spa features L’Occitane spa products and the hotel’s comfortable ‘Bar Des Artistes’ provides a convenient – if somewhat expensive – place to unwind after a “hectic” day.

It can be subtle with framed prints of circus escapades, or full-on, brightly-coloured fun, as the family rooms have bunk beds with circus tent curtains! I had booked a Family Room but the hotel upgraded us to a Tower Suite, which was a real treat as it meant my son had a separate bedroom and I could relax in the evening with the TV, while lounging on my enormous Queen-size bed when he was asleep.

I also discovered the hotel is not only popular with families and guests going to Disneyland Paris, but also as a Conference Centre and for foodies.

All staff wear a red faux ringmaster uniform which is quirky in the extreme and even though the hotel was at maximum occupancy they always had a smile for us.

Costumed characters were in the lobby each day to hug youngsters and make them feel special too.

Speaking of breakfast, the large restaurant lays on good French buffet breakfast which is even better than in many other french hotels.

From cooked items to fresh fruit salad, dried fruits to brioche-men, yogurts, cereals, cheeses, cold meats. There’s no way we would have enjoyed breakfast in an apartment as much as here.

The hotel’s indoor swimming pool is a great way to hang around with the kids before bedtime.

I didn’t need to use the Fitness Centre as the theme parks were my workout but we enjoyed going to the Health & Beauty Salon and watching other guests have fish pedicures.

Disney Land, it’s worth it, even the parc is loud and special the hotel offers peace and quietness and I slept nicely and very good.

Perfect time.
